Nzinga is our first author we’ve had the privilege to work with and publish. She is a native of San Francisco and a graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. Nzinga believes self-awareness is the key for living a happy, healthy and productive life. She is committed to writing books that are thought provoking and requires self-reflections. LaRhonda Crosby-Johnson
At the urging of her friend and mentor, Blanche Richardson, La Rhonda attended Tina McElroy Ansa’s first Sea Island Writers’ Retreat on Sapelo Island in 2004. It was there where she began to “see” herself as a writer.
La Rhonda Is a contributor to the award-winning Life Spices from Seasoned Sistahs anthology series and has also published work in Go, Tell Michelle: African American Women Write to the New First Lady; Sassy, Savvy and Bold After 50; The Beauty of Darkness (poetry); and Jubilee’s Journey (a serial novel.) She is honored to be a part of the anthology, All The Women In My Family Sing edited by Deborah Santana.
La Rhonda, a native of Oakland, California, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and biggest fan, Ernest Johnson.

Ziggy Harris
Ziggy Harris was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. Ziggy began writing poetry at a young age where she would share personal pieces to inspire the people in her community. Ziggy is proud to share her first novel, Not In His Shadow, with the world. Ziggy is currently working on two additional novels and is in the conceptual stage for a sequel for Not In His Shadow.
